Titanium alloy (Titanium alloy) refers to a variety of titanium and other metals made of alloy metals, is a kind of high strength, good corrosion resistance, heat-resistant structure of the metal, mainly used in the manufacture of aircraft engine compressor components, followed by rockets, missiles and high-speed aircraft structural components.
Titanium alloys developed in the 1950s, the 1950s and 1960s, mainly the development of high-temperature titanium alloys for aircraft engines and structural titanium alloys for airframes; in the 1970s, a number of corrosion-resistant titanium alloys were developed; since the 1980s, corrosion-resistant titanium alloys and high-strength titanium alloys have been further developed.
In addition, shape memory alloys such as Ti-Ni, Ti-Ni-Fe and Ti-Ni-Nb have appeared since the 1970s and have gained increasingly wide application in engineering.
